Employees can be insured while performing work, on the way from home to work and back, as well as on business trips.
For the insurance of employees in companies and members of associations, insurance companies offer (i) 24-hour insurance, in which case they are insured during the performance of work, outside of it and in their free time, and (ii) insurance during the performance of work, in which case you are insured only in in a certain capacity, as an employee, athlete, etc. while performing work, on the way to work, on the way from work to home, on business trips.
The employer can insure employees against work-related injuries, occupational diseases and work-related diseases, in order to ensure compensation for damages. In some insurance companies, you can find this type of insurance under the name Collective insurance of employees against the consequences of an accident or similar.
With insurance, you can insure your employees against risks, death due to an accident, permanent loss of work ability (disability), temporary incapacity for work (for which they receive a daily allowance) and impairment of health that requires medical care (treatment costs and hospital days).
By report to the insurance company from 22 July, 2021, damage was reported under policy number 088757 as a result of a traffic accident in which the employee – insured person suffered serious injuries. By the decision on the settlement of the claim for damages of it was decided that the above-described claim for damage was founded, and the insured was paid the amount of BAM 47,840.00 on 26 August, 2021. Since additional documentation was submitted to the insurance company on two occasions during the case resolution, the insured person was paid the additional amount of BAM 6,240.00 on 30 September and another additional amount of BAM 12,480.00 on 30 December, 2021.
In a case in which this office successfully represented the employee– insured person, and in connection with the Report of an accident – Insurance of employees in Bosnia and Herzegovina (German: Unfallmeldung – Versicherung von Arbeitnehmern in Bosnien und Herzegowina), the seriously injured employee collected the total amount from the insurance company in the compensation procedure out of court in the amount of BAM 66,560.00.
