One of the questions that our clients often face after establishing a company in Bosnia and Herzegovina is obtaining an ID number.
After successfully completing the company registration process in a court in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the next step is the acquisition of an identification number (ID number). It is a unique identification number that is assigned to every legal entity and is necessary for the performance of all types of business activities. It is also known as a Tax identification number and is a key element of the business of every legal entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The first step to obtaining an ID number is to fill out the application form, which can be found on the official website of the Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina or the Agency for Intermediary, Information, and Financial Services of Republika Srpska, depending on the fact in which State entity the company is established. The completed application with accompanying documentation is submitted to the competent tax office, Department for Education and Registration in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina or RS.
Once your application is approved, you will receive a notification about the assignment of an ID number, which you will use in all business transactions and communication with government/entity authorities.
