The Jean Monnet Center Of Excellence South And Eastern European Competition Law (hereinafter referred to as the Center) strives, among other things, to establish a center of excellence for EU competition and state aid law in Southeast Europe and thus create missing links between academic institutions from Eastern Europe and beyond. This Centre would be a regional hub and focal point for academic research, teaching, debate and reflection in the field of EU law on competition and state aid.
It will bring together prominent academic and competition law experts from a total of eight (8) countries, including two EU Member States (Croatia and Italy), three EU candidate countries (Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania), and three EU partner countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova and Tajikistan).
The ultimate and long-term goal of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence is to establish a research and teaching center (Institute) for EU competition law in Southeast Europe (SEE), with strong regional sub-centers in Osijek, Sarajevo, Tirana and Skopje.
